Dorothy Lucille (Bailey) Hunt Obituary

ADRIAN
Dorothy L. Hunt, age 85, of Adrian died Wednesday, 
May 14, 2014, at Hospice of Lenawee’s Hospice Home.
She was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Adrian to Lyle A. and 
Mildred L. (Ferguson) Bailey. She was married to 
Duaine Hunt on June 10, 1994 in Adrian. She retired 
from John Deere Co. in 1985, and was employed as a 
consultant for Princess House, Inc. Dorothy was a 
member of the North Adrian Grange, the Farm Bureau 
and the Minnehaha Temple #43 of Pythian Sisters. She 
was a past 4-H club leader. She was also a member of 
the Needle and Fiber Arts of Lake County in Florida 
and the Florida Alzheimer’s Helpers, Inc., a member 
of Raisin Quilting, and a member of Sparkling Red 
Hatters at Hidden River.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one 
son, Robert (Joy) Sellers of Adrian; two daughters, 
Carol (Carl) Aebersold of Oxnard, Calif., and Wendy 
Power of Camarillo, Calif.; two stepsons, David Hunt 
of Adrian and Paul (Debbie) Hunt of Onsted; four 
stepdaughters, Gayle (Gerald) Hutchinson of Adrian, 
Diane (Michael) Marr of Bennett, Colo., Mary (Errol) 
Clymer of Adrian and Barbara Griffin of Onsted; one 
sister, Joyce Patterson of Adrian; four 
grandchildren; one great-grandson; 22 
stepgrandchildren; and 15 stepgreat-grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Alan 
Sellers; a twin brother, Dorman Bailey; one grandson, 
Andrew Blaker; one stepdaughter, Pat Valerius; and 
one stepson, Ronald.

At Dorothy’s request, cremation has taken place. 
There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, 
May 17, 2014, at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with 
the Rev. Aden Porter officiating. Interment of 
cremains will be in East Rome Cemetery.  Visitation 
will be held Saturday, from 2 to 2:45 p.m. prior to 
the funeral service at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
